50 United States High Points Expedition

"Summit Up"  Climber Mark Zimmer is climbing all high points of the 50 US States for the Alzheimer's Association.  We are proud to be part of Mark's support team.  Check back with us to see more pictures each month! He is climbing these high points: “To achieve a personal goal of climbing the highest point in each state, and by doing so, raise money for a cause I believe in."

Why I choose the Alzheimer’s Association- I think that when anyone does an event for charity, it should be something that the individual feels strongly about. For me, Alzheimer’s hits close to home. My great-grandmother died of it. My grandfather is nearing death in the final stages of Alzheimer’s. I have seen first hand what it can do, and I know how hard it can be for everyone who knows the individual. This is why I choose the Alzheimer’s Association.

Some quick information on the Alzheimer’s Association-
The Alzheimer's Association is the only national voluntary health organization dedicated to researching the prevention, cures and treatments of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, and providing support and assistance to those affected by the disease and their families.
VISION: “Creating a world without Alzheimer’s disease while optimizing the quality of living for individuals and their families affected by dementia-related disorders.”
MISSION: To enhance the quality of living for all persons affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia -related disorders by providing leadership, programs and services, advocacy awareness and research support.”
