Forty Below® Food and Gear Bag

The Forty Below® Food and Gear Bag™ is a unique, insulated, and stretchy padded bag designed to keep freeze-dried food warm during rehydration, with many other practical uses both in the mountains and at home.

Originally designed to insulate freeze-dried food packages and keep them warm during hydration and eating, its stretchy design accommodates both 2-person and 4-person meal pouches. The flexible neoprene construction also makes it ideal for protecting GPS devices, phones, and other fragile items inside your pack—or as a compact carry bag on its own!

Versatile and practical, it can even double as a sit pad, travel pillow, or mini cooler to help keep items cold in summer. We've even used it to keep ice cream frozen on the way home from the store!

Made from thin 2mm nylon-covered neoprene foam, it’s lightweight, stretchy, and features a Velcro top closure with two small webbing loop handles. A unique webbing flap on the front holds a fork or stick, which can be used to help prop the bag upright while your meal rehydrates.
